Adkins.Bertha.Morris.1983.Pike.OBIT BERTHA MORRIS (ADKINS) Mrs. Dan (Bertha Morris) Adkins, 67, of Huddy Ky., died this morning at the Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital. Born Maarch 14, 1906 in Pike County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late K.B. and Matilda Ramey Morris. Mrs. Adkins is survived by her husband, Elder Dan Adkins; five daughters, Mrs. Emogene Browning, Mrs. Racine Daniels, and Mrs. Karoldear Smith, all of Louisville, Ky.; Mrs. Arlene Dillender of Sugarland, Tx., and Miss Jacqueline Adkins of Huddy; four sons, Edgar Ray Adkins, Bill Joe Adkins and Harold Adkins, all of Louisville, Ky., and (?) Alvis of Marina Del Ray, Florida. Additional survivors include six sisters, Mrs. Nancy Allen of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Dixie Keene of Raccoon Ky., Mrs. Gusta Helms of McAndrews, Ky., Mrs. Lealer Maynard of Lexington, Ky., Mrs. Jettie Collins and Mrs. Louisa Hall, both of Pikeville, Ky.; three brothers, Victor Morris of Columbus, Ohio, Lawrence Morris of Raccoon, Ky., and Joe Morris of Pikeville, Ky.; 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o'clock at the Old Pond Primitive Baptist Church of Belfry, Ky. with Elders Elmer Thacker, Walter Runyon and Michael smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. tonight. Contributed by Glenna 22 May 1997
