Funeral services will be held here Tuesday for William R."Red"Adwell, 52, Barren County's Property Valuation Administrator, who died Sunday at the Community Hospital in Glasgow after an extended illness. "Mr. Adwell was currently serving as Barren County PVA in his third term. The office was formerly known as the Barren County Tax Commissioner and his father had served to his death. Prior to being elected PVA, Adwell had been on the staff of South Central Rural Telephone for a number of years. "Active in Masonic work, he was a member of Allen Lodge and became a Master Mason on August 16, 1971. He served as Master of Allen Lodge in 1978 and as District Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky in 1980. "He was a member of the Scottish Rite and Kosair Temple of the Shirine. "He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Adwell, a daughter, Jackie Charlene Adwell, at home; a brother, H. C. Adwell, Paducah; and three sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Adwell Starr, Route 6, Glasgow, Mrs. Martha Steele, Pensacola, Florida, and Mrs. Mary Lou Baker, Frankfort. "Masonic rites will be held at the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home at 7 pm Monday night. All Masons are urged to attend. The Lodge will be open at 6:15 p.m. "Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 pm Tuesday with burial in the Memorial Gardens."
