During WW II served with the U S Navy as a signalman during which he was deployed to Guadalcanal and Iowa Jima. Was very active in establishing and being involved with the Glasgow Little League program. Served on the Board of Directors and coached in the program for 35 years. Member and former commander of Glasgow American Legion and a member and former commander of VFW post 5906. Survivors: Wife: Nelda Albany Two sons: Al and Eric and wife Terri, all of Glasgow Five grandchildren: Kim Delk, Willie Albany, Austin Albany, Kacy Albany and Eliza Albany Sister: Mildred Albany of Glasgow Niece: Judy Alexander of Glasgow Preceded also in death by: Daughter: ANnette Delk Sister: Wilma Bacon Services: Wednesday, 9 Feb 2005, 3 pm, Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home, burial Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
