"Mrs. Nora Allen, wife of Mr. W. E. Allen, died at her home in Cannon City, 
Colo., Feb. 11. Mrs. Allen was formerly Miss Nora Cates, of this county. She as 
born and reared in the Fallen Timber country, was educated in Glasgow, and has 
a large circle of friends and relatives all over the county. She was a handsome 
and accomplished young lady, with a mind much above the average. Some twelve 
years ago she married Mr. W. E. Allen, son of Dr. N. P. Allen of the Smith's 
Grove coutnry, and shortly afterward moved West. To the day of her death, she 
cherished the warmest love for her Old Kentucky Home.

"Mrs. Allen leaves a husband and two little boys, nine and seven years old, to 
mourn her loss."
