MARION C. "POODLE" AMES

Marion C. "Poodle" Ames, 86, Dekoven, died Wednesday, October 22, at
10:55pm at the Community Methodist Hospital in Henderson.

He was a retired coal miner after 40 years in the mines. He was a member
of Baptist Faith - World War II he served with Gen. George Patton in the
3rd Army. He was also awarded a bronze star.

Survivors include a special friend, Ethel Babbs of DeKoven, nieces,
nephews, and cousins, and he was a special Papa to Sandy and Holly Sigler. 

Services were at 2pm Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home with Rev. George
Yates and Rev. Dale Hanson officiating. Burial was in Pythian Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association of
the American Lung Association.
