"Mrs. Mary J. Anderson died at the residence of her son, Mr. John Anderson, 
here Sunday morning last. While the immediate cause of her passing away was 
rheumatism, her death was more due to the exhaustion of vital resources 
incident to old age than to any specific disease. Mrs. Anderson was seventy 
five years of age at the time of her death. She was a most excellent Christian 
lady, and had been a consistent member of the Baptist Church for almost a 
lifetime. Mrs. Andeson was the mother of Messrs. John, Joe and Will Anderson, 
and Miss Cornelia Anderson, all of this place."
