All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: William McGuire http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00022.html#0005431 March 20, 2008, 6:04 pm Written: December 24, 1790 Recorded: December 24, 1790 Mercer County, Kentucky Deed Book, Vol: 2. page 107-110, Dec. 1790 This Indenture made the 24th day of December, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninty Between John Arnold and Jeanney his wife of the county of Mercer and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Lawrence McGuire of the County and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Arnold and Jeany his wife aforesaid in consideration of the sum of Ninty pounds lawful money of the said Commonwealth to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge , have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do so grant bargain and sell unto the said Lawrence McGuire, his heirs & assigns one certain parcel of land situate in county aforesaid on the waters of Salt River on the west side being part of s’d John Arnold’s survey of four hundred and fifty acres beginning at the South West wardly corner of the same, a Red Oak and Dogwood sapling on the East side of a rige (?) thence with his lines North Sixty Five degrees East Two Hundred & Eight poles, crossing a branch to the corner Two Sugars and a Hicory Sapling near the bank of branch thence North Eighteen degrees East One Hundred and Thirty One poles crossing a small branch to Two Sugar trees near a Drain (?) thence North Twenty Five degrees West One Hundred & Fourteen poles to a Red Oak and Hicory sapling near the fork of the branch thence South Sixty Five degrees West crossing the branch One Hundred Thirty Nine poles to Two Black Oaks out of one root near a small branch, Thence North Twenty Eight degrees West Three poles to a Dogwood and Two Sugar saplings on the s’d line thence South Sixty Five degrees West crossing Two branches One Hundred and Fifty Four poles to Two White oaks and a Hicory sapling on the s’d line thence with the same South Twenty Five degrees East crossing a small branch Two Hundred and Six poles to the beginning containing Three Hundred and Fifty acres more or less together with all its appurtanences, To have and to hold the said parcel of land with all its appurtanences unto the said Lawrence McGuire his heirs and assigns for their proper use forever and the said John Arnold & Jeanny for themselves and their heirs do covenant and agree with the s’d Lawrence McGuire his heirs and assigns forever that they will warrant and defend the said land with its appurtanances unto the s’d Lawrence McGuire his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of any person or persons forever by these presents.
