He was born in Red Bird, KY on March 16, 1943 son of the late Alex and Alice Brummett Asher. He was a member of the Victory Missionary Baptist Church and was a self-employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Esther Mae Brock Asher, sister, Haley Asher, brothers, Wilk and Forrester Asher. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Alma Jane Asher of London; brothers and sisters, Rufus Asher or Arjay, Earl Asher of Pineville, Douglas Asher of Whitesburg, Cecil Asher of Arjay, Stanley Asher of Arjay, Mitchell Asher of Clay Co., Roscoe Asher of Arjay, David Asher of Frakes, Paul Asher of Clear Creek, Edna Guerra of St. Bernard, LA; Rosie Davisson of Pineville, Hazel Taylor of Arjay and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends, too many to mention and his Victory Baptist church family. Services will be Monday at 2 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. James Polly, Rev. Travis Wilder and Rev. David Asher. Music will be by Victory Baptist Church choir. Burial will be in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens at Middlesboro. Pallbearers were family and friends. Honorary pallbearers were Stanley and Cecil Asher. Arnett & Steele Funeal Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Asher Family.
