Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar current money of Kentucky to and me in hand paid by said John Askins afsd and of a bond this day given by Said John Askins in which he binds himself to maintain me during my life in a decent and suitable manner and also for the further consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear for my said son John Have this day bargained and sold and do by these presents bargain and sell assign and convey unto the said John a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in this county and the place where I now reside containing three hundred and sixty five acres by the same more or less also six negro slaves and their increase the first named Jarret a negro man between thirty and forty years of age, the second a woman named Nan about 60 years of age, the third a woman aged about 35 years named Lych. The fourth a female child about four years of age and the fifth a boy about 2 years old old the sixth a boy about nine or ten months old all of which said negro slaves are now in my possession and which are hereby transferred to the said John. Also one Waggon and gear, five head of horses, sixteen head of cattle, eighteen head of sheep and one hundred and twenty head of hogs together with all my household and kitchen furniture and farming utensils of every description whatever and of which property is now in my possession and is hereby transferred and conveyed to said John Askins To have and to hold to the said John his heirs and assignees the said three hundred and sixty five acres of land with its appurtenances together with all and every species of property both real and personal above inumerated and the said Courtney Askins agrees to warrant and forever defend the other to the above described property and every part and portion thereof against the claim of him the said Courtney Askins and all other claims whatever.
