Ira Della ("Della") Deacon was born on 5 October 1898 in Breckinridge County, 
Kentucky to Demetrius Elmore Deacon (born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky) and 
Frances Elizabeth Singleton (born in Meade County, Kentucky).  She married 
Johnnie Elbert Avitt, son of Charles L. Avitt and Sarah F. Dowell, on 23 
February 1924.  The informant identified on the death certificate, Willa 
Rodgers, is Della's sister Willa, who married Kirby B. Rodgers.
