JOHN W. BACK
 John W. Back, 76, Sturgis, died Wednesday, June 4 at 6:50am, at
Union County Methodist Hospital.
Mr. Back was of Baptist faith, retired coal miner, and a 38 year
member of Nortonville Masonic Lodge #602.
 Survivors include his wife, Lois Back; two daughters, Diana Owens,
and Sharon DeMoss, both of Sturgis; one son, Danny Back of Sturgis; two
sisters, Mary Somers of Mannington, and Margaret Naylor of Eldorado, IL; two
brothers, Lonnie Back of Mannington, and Onnie Back of Nortonville, KY; four
grandchildren, Randy Owens, Kristie Slaton, Brandon Back and Brittany Back,
all of Sturgis; and one great grandchild, Dalton Slaton also of Sturgis.
 Services were at 2pm Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with
Rev. Clifton Vandiver officiating. Burial was in Grangertwon Cemetery.
