She had been in ill health several months. "She was born and reared in the Poplar Grove-Temple Hill community where she spent all her life. She was a devout member of the Baptist Church and was a fine christian lady, held in high esteem by friends and acquaintances throughout the county. "Besides her mother, Mrs. Lucy Bacon, she is survived by a brother, Mr. Robert Bacon, of Peoria, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Ed Starr, Glasgow, R. 6, Mrs. Claude McIntire, Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Virgil Rigsby, of Illinois. "Funeral services will be held at Union No. 2 today at 1 a.m. Rev. T. S. Ferguson will be in charge. Burial will follow in the church cemetery."
