Sir please to assign licens for a marriage between my step daughter Polly Bailey and 
Champness Dillingham this given under my hand & seal this 15 day of October 1800.

Know all men by these presents that we Champ Dillingham & John Emberson are held and 
firmly bound unto his excellency James Garrard Esquire governor of Kentucky in the penal 
sum of fifty pound current money for the payment of which well & truly to be made we bind 
ourselves our heirs exors and ___ us jointly and severly firmly by these presents sealed 
with our seals and dated this 14th day of October 1800.
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly 
intended to be solimnized between the above bound Champ Dillingham & Polly Bailey for which 
a licens has issued now if there be now lawful caus to obstruct said marriage then this 
obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
