DEED: Lee, 1804, Madison Co Thomas Lee Madison County Kentucky Deed Book E 1800 – 1805 Page 628 – 629 FHC film #0183286 This Indenture made this twenty Eighth day of March in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and four Between John Baker Madison County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Thomas Lee of the County and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Baker for and in consideration of the sum of ninety Seven pounds ten Shillings lawful money of the state aforesaid to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents do grand bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Lee his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land. Situate lying and being in the County of Madison on the waters of Silver and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a beach tree on the side of a hill thence South 25 poles to a white walnut thence north 70 Deg East 54 poles to a hickory and Sugar tree, thence South 82 (83) East 58 poles to Double black Walnut tree and a small elm on the line of George Smith’s Survey of a thousand acres then with the said Smith’s line No 200 E 68 poles to a sugar tree the north west corner of said Smith’s line thence No 80 W 160 poles to an elm on a Small Branch thence Down the Branch with the meanders to a white Walnut Tree thence So 80 65 poles to the Beginning. Containing Sixty five acres of land with the appurtenances and premises above mentioned and every part thereof to have and to hold the said tract of land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said thomas Lee his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Baker for himself his heirs and assigns the said tract of land and premises above mentioned against himself his heirs Exors and Admors and y against all and every other person or persons Whatsoever unto the said Thomas Lee his heirs and assigns forever Shall and will warrant and forever Defend the said land and premises above mentioned in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year first above written.
