Baker Bible, Hopkins Co, Ky

[From Yesterdays Tuckaways, Volume III, Issue 4, October 1971]

The following was recorded in an old Bible found in a trunk purchased at 
auction by Mr James Simmons.  The records from the Bible were donated to 
the Society by Mr. Simmons.  The publishing date was 1880 by David Cook 
Publishing Company of No. 15 Washington Street, Chicago, Illinois.

Pearmelia A Baker was borned Sept. the 1, 1847
John M Baker was borned Sept. the 6, 1866
Mry M Baker was borned October 21, 1868
Rosey Baker was borned Aprial 3, 1876
James W Baker was borned December 13, 1878
George W Baker was borned Aprial 21, 1883

DEATHS
Mary M Baker dide Sept. the 17, 1870
George W Baker dide Aprial 25, 1886

     Written by Grace Baker this November 1910.
     She was born at Barnsley on January 16, 1897.  She has two sisters 
     married and one brother and three sisters at home and two brothers.

Editors Note: Mr. Simmons also contributed an old ledger, with address 
of Depoy, Ky and these names will be in a future issue. Contents of the 
ledger concerns entries around the turn of the century and later. John 
M Baker of the Bible record kept this ledger.  He is buried at Oak Grove 
Cemetery, Depoy, Ky. Beside him is his wife.
