John Baker Will Bracken Co. KY 1808 In the Name of God Amen This second day of April in the year of our lord Eighteen Hundred and Eight I John Baker of Bracken County & State of Kentucky Farmer being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last will and Testament That is to say I give and recommend my sould unto the hands of God that give it my Body to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the descretion of my exectutors. And as tuching my worldly estate, I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form It is my will and Ido order that all my just debts & funeral charges be paid and satisfied. And first I give and bequeath unto my sons Aaron & Abraham Baker the plantation whereon I now live to be equally divided between them. Also to my daughter Elizabeth Shepherd, Mary Tatman, Hannah Tatman, Rachel Love, Otittia Baker, & to Peggy's daughter Catherine to each of these ten dollars also to my son Arron Baker my still cap & that is all that pertains unto the said still Likewise I desire and appoint that all my goods and chattels that remain be sold & the money arising from the sale be equally divided among all my dear children and I hereby appoint and constitute my sons Aaron and Abraham Baker my whole and my Exectutors of this my last will and testament And I do hereby revoke & disallow & disannull all and every forms or former testaments, wills, legacies and exectutors by me in any wise before giving In testemony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written. /s/John Baker (seal) Signed Sealed delivered and acknowledged in the presents of us John H. September Court 1808 The foregoing last will and testament of John Baker dec'd was executed in court and proven by the oaths of Isaac Reese and David Livingston witnesses thereon and ordered to be recorded which is done accordingly and the exectutors therein named to wit Aaron and Abraham Baker being first summoned as the law directs entered into and acknowledged.
