For nearly 60 years Uncle Wesley has been active in teaching the young idea. He has done more to eradicate illiteracy from Letcher county and the mountains than any other man. Uncle Wesley a few days ago rounded out his 74th year, and he is still as active as most men at 40. While in his teens he started teaching in the long, long years ago. He still enjoys his life vocation -- a vocation he loves so well. ______________________________
