Dentist Henry Nelson Basham was born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, on 13 
July 1839, to Henry Dowell Basham (likely born in Bedford County, Virginia) and 
Cassandra Hardin (born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky).  Henry Nelson Basham 
was married to Mary Cordelia Russell (on 28 Dec 1865??), and the couple had at 
least 7 children.  They migrated from Breckinridge County, Kentucky, to Daviess 
County, Kentucky between 1880 (when the family is enumerated in the 1880 U.S. 
Census for Breckinridge County, Kentucky) and 1900 (when the family is found in 
Daviess County).  The informant identified on the death certificate, Carrie 
Blandford, is their eldest daughter, Carrie.
