BASSETT, died this morning, October 21, 1903, at her home at The Cedars 1 1/2 miles from town (Leitchfield). She was ill for several days, but her death as unexpected. Mrs. BASSETT was well known in Louisville (Jefferson County, Ky.), having lived there for years, and was a member of a prominent family of Breckinridge County (Joseph HOUSTON was the founder of Joeville, now called Cloverport). Mrs. BASSETT leaves a large family of grown children. Among them are: Mrs. Julia CHICK of Louisville, Ky. Mrs. Frank GREGORY of Parkland, Ky. James BASSETT of Louisville, Ky. Birch BASSETT of Hopkinsville, Ky. (Christian County) Frank BASSETT of Hopkinsville, Ky. Mrs. Mary KINNEY of Cloverport, Ky. Mrs. S. R. DENT of Cloverport, Ky. E. R. BASSETT of Cloverport, Ky. J. Robert BASSETT of Cloverport, Ky. She was the mother of Mrs. J. J. JOHNSON of St. Louis, Missouri, who died about a year ago. Mrs. BASSETT'S remains will be interred at the THOMAS Cemetery tomorrow.
