Breckinridge County Herald-News, Hardinsburg, Ky., Thursday, September 5, 1968 OBITUARY
     John K. BATES, age 65, of Hardinsburg, died Tuesday, August 27, 1968 at the Breckinridge Memorial 
Hospital in Hardinsburg.  He was a car salesman in the county for a number of years.  He is survived by:
his wife, the former Rhoda Ann FURROW
one daughter:
Miss Wanda BATES, Hardinsburg
one brother:
L. M. BATES, Hardinsburg
     The funeral was held on Friday, August 30, 1968 from the Hardinsburg Baptist Church, with burial 
following in the Brickey Cemetery.  The Dowell Funeral Home of Hardinsburg, was in charge of 
arrangements.
