W. Batterton her husband Martha E Hope Michael Hope James Hope Cynthia Fry late Hope & S.S. Fry her husband James S. Hall Isabella Hougland M. Hope Hougland Catharine Hougland Elizabeth Parks late Hope & James Parks her husband Martha J Hope Catharine P Hope Joh. C. Hope & Henry H. Hope heirs & devisees of Michael Hope dec'd by A. H. Sneed commissioner of the Boyle Circuit Court of the first part & Washington McGinnis of the County of Boyle & State of Ky of the second part. Witnesseth that whereas the said A. H. Sneed was appointed Commissioner by a decree of the Boyle Circuit Court in the Case of M. Hope Heirs vs. Hopes heirs to make sale of & convey the real estate belonging to said Michael Hope dec'd in the Petition & proceedings mentioned & according to a report of said Commissioner said property was exposed to public sale on the 2d day of September 1850 & Wa [crossed out] Said McGinnis became the purchaser as the highest bidder at the price of One dollar & five cent per acre or two hundred & fifty nine dollars all of said purchase money having been paid the receipt hereof is hereby acknowledged. Now and[crossed out]in consideration of the same above named the said parties of the first part by said Commissioner have granted bargained & sold & by these presents do grant bargain Sell alien & convey unto the said McGinnis & his heirs forever a certain tract of Nob land lying and being in the County of Boyle & State aforesaid on the waters of the Roling fork for a more particular description of said land See deed filed in the papers of the parties above named Containing about two hundred & forty Six acres more or less. Together with all & Singular appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining & the said parties of the first part by said Commissioner aforesaid by these presents do covenant & agree to forever warrant & defend the title to said parcel of land against the claim or claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever. Sneed Commissioner of said Court to Washington McGinnis was on the 23d day of February 1853 presented in open Court by Said Commissioner and by him acknowledged to be his act and deed and being examined by the Court the same was approved and ordered to be transmitted to the Clerk of the Boyle County Court for record, which is done accordingly.
