"Funeral was at the home place Saturday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. James J. Reynolds, of the Green Street Church of Christ, assisted by Rev. T. H. Alderson and Mr. R. Beals, to whom she ever remained a devoted, loving companion. Together they counted off the years as they rolled by; together they shared joys and vicissitudes of a full life. They found the joy, the perfect accord that rarely is the part of mortal -- they found all this and shared it together. "Mrs. Beals was a member of the Church of Christ for forty years, and was one of the most devoted, intense christians of the community. "Mrs. Beals went about doing good; she was [a] splendid wife and companion and the finest of mothers. Truly, has it been said that "she was one of the purest and best women that ever lived in Glasgow."
