Submitted by Debbie Dicken Glenn Beck, 63, of West Hord Street, Campbellsville, died at 3:30 a.m., Thursday, February 20, 1997, in Louisville. Son of Poley Beck of Campbellsville and the late Mary Kidwell Beck, he was born in Taylor County, Ky., January 17, 1934. Beck was a member of Acton Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, having served in the United States Navy for 20 years and retiring in as an aircraft mechanic. He was also a former employee of Taylor County Hospital and Citizens Bank & Trust Company. Beck was married to Mary Alice Speer March 23, 1955, who survives. Besides his wife and father, Beck is survived by three daughters and two sons, Vicki Mikel of Clarksville, Ind., Margaret Lay of Lancaster, Christina Gribbins and David Beck, both of Campbellsville, and Randall Beck of Nicholasville; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Jack Beck, Betty Sullivan, Aileen Lemmon and Shirley Agee of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews; and several other relatives. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Caulk and Margaret E. Beck. Funeral was at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 22, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro. Chester Gordon VanDyke. Burial was in the Phillips Cemetery with full military honors by the Disabled American Veterans Taylor County Chapter #70. Pallbearers were David Agee, Jamie Beck, Lonnie Lemmon, Don Mikel Jr., Bill Sullivan and Brad Sullivan.
