2006 Trent-Dowell Funeral Home obituaries
James Owen Bennett, age 85 of Hardinsburg, KY died Friday, 8-18-2006 in 
Louisville, KY. He was born in Stephensport, KY on 3-16-1921. He was a member 
of New Hope Baptist Church and a farmer.
 
He was an Army veteran of WWII and a P.O.W., receiving 2 purple hearts and 4 
bronze stars.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife - Ella Bell Bennett.
  
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:30PM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home 
in Hardinsburg, Ky with Rev. Harry Dooley officiating. Burial will be in the 
Ivy Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 
4-8PM and after 8:30AM Monday at the funeral home.
