October 28, 1930 Barren County KyArchives News Washington Post October 28, 1930 "Glasgow, Ky., Oct. 27 (A.P.) - Marion BILBRY, truck driver for DAVIDSON Bros., wholesale grocers here, who disappeared October 8, informed his wife, Mrs. Mae BILBRY, by letter from West Liberty, Iowa, today that he was kidnapped. "He requested funds to get home. He was trussed in an automobile and driven all the way to West Liberty. He said his kidnappers had dropped him out on a highway after giving him $1. "BILBRY's truck was found near Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. Oct 9. The floor board and seat were splattered with blood. The windshield had been shattered by bullets. Friday part of his clothing, also blood- stained, was found nearby. "The authorities had been working on the theory he was kidnapped and robbed."
