He left a large family to mourn his loss. Page 5, A GOOD MAN GONE DEATH -- Mr. Samuel BLAND of near Kirk (Breckinridge County), Ky., died Saturday, February 3, 1900 of cancer. He was born September 17, 1837, and he has always been a resident of this county. He was a father of 14 children, 7 of whom survive him. He was a devout member of the Catholic Church.
