Blevins June 28 2002 Lincoln-Wayne County KyArchives Obituaries Danville (KY) Advocate Messenger, 30 Jun 2002 WAYNESBURG -- Robert W. Blevins, 76, of Ky. 328, died Friday at his home. Born June 12, 1926 in Parnell, Ky., he was the son of the late James and Emily Miller Blevins. He was a retired stock chaser of 37 years for General Motors in Anderson, Ind. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Ball Blevins; three sons, Robert A. Blevins of Anderson, Ind., Charles M. Blevins of Harrodsburg and David J. Blevins of Waynesburg; five daughters, Linda Catt of Terre Haute, Ind., Darlene Layman of Anderson, Ind., Sue Johnson of Marion, Ind., Ida E. Roberts of Burgin and Stephanie L. Blevins of Waynesburg; three brothers, Oscar and Jess Blevins, both of New Castle, Ind. and Marion Blevins of Spiceland, Ind.; two sisters, Delcie Decker of Louisville and Eva Hollars of New Castle, Ind.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dide, Frank, France and Columbus Blevins and a sister, Stella Ross. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by Bro. Vola Brown. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert A. Blevins, Charles Morgan, Alan Layman and Derek Catt. Vistitation will be 4-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
