Bloomer-to-Bocock.1824.Lawrence.DEED 6 December 1824 Elijah Bocook initiated a transaction for this parcel/tract of land and the transaction was completed on the 16th day of September 1831 between Matilda Bloomer and Elijah Bocock. He paid thirty dollars for 50 acres of land located on Bear Creek. (Ref: Lawrence County, Kentucky Deed Book B, Page 72. This indenture made and entered into this 16th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-one between Matilda Bloomer and one part and Elijah Bocock of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Matilda Bloomer for and in consideration of thirty dollars in hand paid the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged hath bargains hath bargained and sold and by these presences do bargain, confirm unto the said Bocock one certain tract or parcel of land containing ___ ___ ____ survey bearing the 16th December one thousand twenty-four. (can?t read the rest of this line). 16th December one thousand eight hundred twenty-four lying and being in the County of Lawrence and bounded as follows: To wit, beginning on the East side of ______________ Bear Creek at a white oak dogwood __________ and thence South 43 West poles to a white oak South 30? East 68 poles to a hickory and sugar South 69? East 44 poles to a white walnut South 86? East 38 poles to a dogwood North 49? East 73 poles to a stake North 70? West 150 poles to the beginning to have and to hold this said land with the appurtenances unto the said Bocock his executors _______ tracts and __________ forever.
