Bocock-from-Tyree.1838.Lawrence.DEED 4th day of May 1838; Lawrence County, Kentucky Deed Book - C; Page 22-23 containing fifty (50) acres for the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00). This Indenture made and entered into this 4th day of May 1838. Between Jerome Tyree of the one part and John Bocock and William Bocock of the other part and all of the County of Lawrence and State of Kentucky. Withnessth that the said Tyree on his part hath this day for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Bocock and William Bocock the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said John Bocock and William Bocock a certain Tract of land lying and being in the County aforesaid and situated on Rows Creek and bounded as follows to wit, Beginning on the west side of Rows Creeks at a beech and gum North 70 East 25 poles to a burch and maple North 65 West 52 poles to a beech sapling North 78 West 160 poles to two dogwoods 323 West 20 poles to a stake South 63 East 165 poles to a stake. North 73 East 62 poles to the beginning containing fifty acres to have and to hold the same with the appurtenances thereunto belong on in any wise appertaining to said John Bocock and William Bocock, their heirs and assigns forever doth forever and the said Jerome Tyree for himself, his heirs and assigns doth forever warrant and defend from him the said Tyree or any persons holding through on by him the said Tyree. But against no other claim or claims whatsoever. In Testimony, I, the said Jerome Tyree have here unto set my hand and seal this day and date first above written. Whereupon the said deed together with this foregoing certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office. Given under my hand this 7th day of October 1838.
