Bunner-from-Bocock.1847.Lawrence.DEED Submitted by: Dewey L Bocook, Jr Paintsville, Ky. 3 February 1847; a total of 170 Acres located in Lawrence County, Kentucky was transferred to Henry P. Bunner by Elijah and Jane, his wife, Bocock (Reference: Lawrence County, Kentucky Deed Book - C, Page 495:) This Indenture made and entered into this 3rd day of February 1847 between Elijah Bocock and Jane, his wife, of the County of Carter and State of Kentucky of the first part and Henry P. Bunner of the County of Lawrence and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnessth that for and in consideration of the sum of ten hundred dollars to the party of the first part on hand paid or secured to be paid before the sealing of this presents, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant bargain, sell, alien, covered, and confirm unto the said party of the second part and his heirs or assigns forever. Their several tracts or parcels of land lying and being in Lawrence County and State of Kentucky, the first bounded as follows to wit: The first tract bounded follows to wit: Beginning at the forks of Rove Creek thence South 72? East 96 poles to a large white oak thence N 18? West 78 poles to a hickory to a small white oak on the topota ridge, then North 72 West, 80 poles to a hickory near the road, thence cross said Road South 62, West 72 poles to a maple thence South 76? West 28 poles to a sugar and a popular, thence S. 62 West 100 poles to a stake, thence to the beginning. Containing sixty acres by patent, bearing the date 6th day of July 1842 to Elijah Bocock. Except ten acres sold _________of one by said Bocock to _________ ____________. The second track is bounded as follows to wit, Beginning on the right hand fork of Rove Creek on Branch corner a maple and sour wood near the County road North 16 West 20 poles to a Tombstone beginning corner a small _______ beech, thence crossing the creek South 38 West 70 poles to two black oaks on the top of the ridge, the beginning of Logan Tombstone survey. Thence with his survey South 30 West 36 poles to a double popular and a hickory South 31? West 40 poles to a cucumber on a hill side near some rocks, South 30 West 16 poles to a burch and maple, thence leaving the same South 38 East 33 poles to Miles Seiphono beginning corner with his open line South 22 West 180 poles to a stake. South 86 East 138 poles to a stake corner to Olsen Buchanana?s survey, thence with the same North 5 10 East 60 poles to a small dogwood on a hillside North West 1000 poles to the beginning - containing one hundred and twenty acres by patent to Elijah Bocock, bearing date 2nd day of July 1846. To have and to hold the said two tracts of land, with all and _______the appurtenances ___________ belonging or in any ______ appertaining unto the said _________ ___ ___________, his hired executor administrator or __________forever and the said Elijah Bocock and Jane his wife, Hereby warrants and defends the title to the above tracts of land, against themselves, their heirs, assigns but against the claim or claims of no other person or persons whatsoever.
