Born April 6, 1913, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Joe T. and Effie Warren Lunsford Bogie. He was a retired farmer and a member of Hustonville Baptist Church, Moreland Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Danville. Survivors include his wife, Lois Toombs Bogie; a daughter, Barbara Spauldng of Owensboro; a brother, William F. Bogie of Bend, Ore.; a brother, Alvin Bogie of Frankfort; two sisters, Nell Davis of Stanford and Jo Ann Dietz of New Castle, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nora Alice Brock Bogie; two daughters, Linda Bogie and Debra Williams; and a granddaughter. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timothy and Micah Spaulding, Brett, Lann and Chad Bogie, and Tom Davis. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday.
