"MRS. BOHANNON DEAD. Mrs. Emma Warder Bohannon, wife of Judge G. M. Bohannon, 
died at the home of her husband, Monday night at ten o'clock, in her fiftieth 
year.

"For several years Mrs. Bohannon had been seriously ill with stomach trouble 
and for the past few months she had been gradually failing til the end came.

"Before her marriage she was Miss Emma Warder, daughter of the late Mr. 
Marshall Warder, who for a great many years, was a leading citizen of the town.

"With her death closes the life record of one of the sweetest and purest lives 
that ever graced this earth. Gentle, kind and lovable, Mrs. Bohannon was one 
of the most beloved women of the town. Thoughtfulness of others was her life's 
motto, and her's was a character that was constantly pouring out love, 
sunshine and great sympathy for human hearts in sorror or in joy. She was 
queen over a household that came as near being a family perfect in their 
family ties, their undying love and deep devotion for each other as any family 
ever grows to be in this world. He happiness reigned supreme, and now that the 
mother of the home and the wife of his bosom has been called to her heavenly 
reward, the family circle is broken, and sorrow has entered there. Alothought 
having been deprived of her physical activity for several years, Mrs. Bohannon 
took a great interest in the affairs of the day and never once did she forget 
her fdriends and the things that interested their lives.

"She bore her sufferings meekly, and umurmingly, and now that she has gone 
home to eternal rest the world will be better by her having lived in it, and 
Heaven will be sweeter by her presence there.

"Surviving her are her husband, Judge G. M. Bohannon and three daughters, Mrs. 
R. H. Vaughn, of Knoxville, Tenn; Mrs. Chas. E. Boles and Mrs. Ira D. S. 
Knight of Glasgow, and two brothers, Messrs. Charles Warder of this place and 
Will Warder of Clarksville, Tenn.

"Mrs. Bohannon had been a devout member of the Baptist church for years.Rev. 
I. D. S. Knight conducted the short funeral services at the family residence, 
Tuesday afternoon at five o'clock, after which the remains were interred in 
the cemetery at this place.

"To the husband, the daughters, and to the loved ones deeply bowed down in 
sorrow and distress is extended the great encircling arm of love and the 
sympathizing tears of their many many many friends in town and county during 
this, their hour of grief and deep affliction."
