Glasgow (KY) Daily Times, 22 Jan 1915.
"Mrs. John Allen Boles died at the home of her husband in the Slick Rock country, last Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock, in her seventy-third year. 
Before her marriage, she was a Miss Brown, of Tennessee. She was a devout Christian and was a most excellent woman. She is survived by her husband and six children: Messrs. Bob, Sam and John Bowles (sic), all of the Slick Rock country; Mrs. Jim Glass, of Wisdom; Mrs. Jim Bowman, of Louisville, and Mrs. 
Lucian Pierce, of Beckton. The interment was in the family cemetery Monday."
