Bolton March 2, 1931 Garrard County KyArchives Obituaries The Central Record, Lancaster, Ky. March 5,1931 BOLTON The Grim Reaper, which is called death, visited our community and took one of our oldest and most beloved citizens and neighbors, Charlie Bradshaw Bolton. He had been sick for eight months with cancer of the stomach. He suffered intensely, but bore it with that sweet patience and submission which was characteristic of his life. When he learned death was near he said "I have put my trust in the Lord, my suffering will soon be over. Mr. Bolton was born Jan.30,1859; died March 2,1931, making him 73 yrs.,one month and two days. Feb.5,1889, he was married to Mary Louise Sebastian, who with nine children survive: John Marion, Clarence, Edward and Clyde Bolton; Mrs. James Snyder, Mrs. Lige Long, Mrs. Sam Long and Miss Imogene Bolton, all of this county, and Mrs. Charlie D. Prather of Madison County. Early in life Mr. Bolton united with the Baptist church, and lived a consecrated christian life. He was a true father and husband. Funeral services were conducted at the Buckeye Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon, March 4th at one o'clock by Rev.E.C. Cosby; interment following in the cemetery at that place, under a mound of beautiful flowers. We have lost our darling father, He has bid us all adieu, He has gone to live in Heaven, And his form is lost to view.----contributed.
