VERDA ASHER BOND
 
    Verda Asher Bond 78, of Dayton, OH, formerly of Pineville passed away on 
Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield.  She was 
born in Pineville on January 23, 1924 the daughter of the late Ben and Lillie 
Roark Asher.  She was a Believer in the Baptist faith and had been a homemaker.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 
Eljay Bond, brothers and sisters, Joe,  Malleau, Frank, Ben, Jr., and Robert 
Asher, Chesney Knigga, Viola Campbell and Marie Hensley.
    Survivors include her special nephew, Bobby Joe Campbell, special nieces, 
Phyllis Slusher who was her guardian for several years, Sandy Jo Asher who she 
helped raise, Lillie Asher, Bobbie Sue Miracle, Cynthia Catherine Wilder, 
Lillie Mae Robbins and other relatives and many special friends.
    Graveside services were Monday, December 23, 2002 at the Pineville 
Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Terrell Gibson.
    The Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville was honored to serve the Bond 
Family.
