McGinnis - Thomas Bowles April 1, 1854 Warren-Butler County KyArchives Deed Written: April 1, 1854 Recorded: January 30, 1862 Warren County, Kentucky Deed Book 29, page 322 This Indenture made this 1st day of April 1854 between Thomas Bowles and his wife Prudence Bowles of the County of Butler and State of Kentucky of the first part and Elizabeth G. McGinnis of the County of Warren and State of Ky. of the second part. Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and fifty Dollars hath this day bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell alien and convey unto the party of the second part all of their right title and interest in and to the tract of land on which Mrs. Harriett Kinnimouth now lives being the same tract of land that was willed by William Hines dec'd to Harriet Bowles said married to Kinnimouth during her natural life and at her death said land is by said will to descend to the children of said Harriet Bowles now Kinnimouth the said Thomas Bowles being one of the children of said Harriet. Said land lies two miles below Browns Lock on Barren river in Warren County Kentucky. To Have and to Hold all of said right title and interest to said tract of land unto the party of the second part her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Thomas Bowles hereby warrants generally the title to said tract of land to the intent of the interest hereby conveyed and the said Prudence Bowles wife of the said party of the 1st part hereby joins in this conveyance relinquishing her right of dower in said tract of land. The party of the second part together with her husband Jesse S. McGinnis have this day executed their note to the said Thomas Bowles for fifty dollars bearing even date with this deed which note is to be paid when the said party of the second part shall become possessed of said conveyance of land, said note is an unpaid part of the above consideration and a lien is retained on said land until said note is satisfied then this conveyance to be good against the parties of the first part forever.
