From: KyArchives [Archives@genrecords.org] Sent: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 10:47 PM To: Ky-Footsteps Subject: Bowman-to-McGinnis.1816.Mercer-Butler.DEED Thomas McGinnis - Jacob Bowman May 20 1816 Mercer-Butler County KyArchives Deed Written: May 20 1816 Recorded: May 20 1816 Deed Book 9, page 523 Know all men by these presents that I Jacob Bowman of the County of Butler & State of Kentucky have this day for and In consideration of the sum of ten dollars by Thomas McGinnis of the County of Mercer and State aforesaid to me in hand paid the Receipt whereof is Hereby acknowledged have Released and By these presents do Relinquish to the said McGinniss all my Right and title claim or Interest in and to a tract of land or any part thereof situate lying and Being in the County of Mercer and State aforesaid & part of the tract of Land whereon the said McGinnis now resides on which land is embraced by a deed of conveyance mad by Capt John Smith to said McGinnis and now of Record in the Clerks office of the Mercer county Court and for which Land or a part thereof the said Bowman lately commenced a suit in the Mercer Circuit court against said McGinnis and others and the said Jacob Bowman doth for himself and his heirs the aforesaid described land doth hereby Relinquish all claim Title or Interest in and to the said Thomas McGinnis his heirs &c in Testimony wherof the said Jacob Bowman hath hereunto set his hand and seal this 20th day of May 1816.
