Boyter August 10 1970 Barren-Jefferson County KyArchives Obituaries Glasgow (KY) Daily Times, Monday, 10 Aug 1970. "Charles N. "Nicky" Boyter, 32, died Monday morning at General Hospital in Louisville where he had been undergoing treatment for head and internal injuries sustained in an automobile accident on August 3. Boyter, an employee of the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home who is well-known throughout the area, was the driver of a Volkswagen which collided head-on with another car on Highay 31-W just south of Park CIty, in Edmonson County. Trooper Jim Page, who investigated the accident, said that the accident occured during a heavy rain Monday morning. A Bowling Green family which occupied the other car was injured. The car was driven by Mrs. Barabara Jean Kramer, 34, Bowling Green. Passengers were Mr. Kramer's husband, Fred, 36, and their four children, Penny, 6, Dennis, 14, Chris, 11, and Kathy, 9. All members of the Kramer family were injured but none seriously. They were taken to the City-County Hospital in Bowling Green for treatment. Boyter was rushed to the Community Hospital! in Glasgow after being pinned in the wreckage for about 20 minutes. He was transferred later to the Louisville Hospital. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Anna Lewis, and a brother, Jimmy. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be under the direction of Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home."
