Every effort had been made to cure him of the dread disease. He spent several months of his illness in a government hospital in Mew Mexico. When he returned to West Point, he slept outdoors in a tent in the yard at his home. "Rusty" BRASHEAR was one of the best and most popular employee the Henderson Route ever had. From about 1896 to 1901, he made his home in this city (Cloverport), while he was fireman, and then engineer on the Henderson Route. Mr. Brashear was a brother of Jule BRASHEAR, of West Point, the Inspector of Bridges for the Henderson Route. The funeral of Mr. BRASHEAR was at West Point, Ky on Sunday, November 27, 1904.
