Mrs. Nellie P. Briscoe, 67, wife of Bailey Briscoe of Parksville, died at 6:30 
o'clock Wednesday night in Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital after a two year 
illness.
She was born May 3, 1894 in Boyle County, and was a daughter of Mrs. Catherine 
Whitehouse Holley, Parksville, and the late William Holley.  She was a member 
of Parksville Baptist Church.
Other survivors in addition to the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Richard 
Wright, Parksville; Mrs Joe Stites, Jeffersonville, Ind; Mrs Ovie Whisman, 
Charlestown, Ind; two sons, Ray Denton, Parksville; and Edgar Denton, 
Sellersburg, Ind; four brothers, Polk Holley, Marion Holley, and Earl Holley, 
all of Mitchellsburg; and Ray Holley, Georgetown; four sisters, Mrs. E.C. 
Boling, Garrard County; Mrs L.G. Leffew, Lebanon; Mrs Jane Hendren, 
Jeffersonville, Ind; and Mrs Alice Beach, Clarkesville, Tenn; eight 
grandchildren and a number of great-grand children.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Coyle 
Funeral Home in Perryville by the Rev. William Duncan, paster of Parksville 
Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Julius Hovan, minister of Parksville 
Christian Church.  Burial will be in the Parksville Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
