Born January 2, 1925, in Kilts, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William P. Daugherty and Della Engle Daugherty. A member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church, she was a 50 year member of the Bell County Homemakers, and also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter # 89 of Pineville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deneane Brock; grandson, Donald Chuck Brock Jr.; sisters, Almedia Gianini, Debris Stores, and Freddie Hoskins; brothers, Bill Daugherty, Clayton Daugherty, Bryon Daugherty; mother and father-in-law Dewey M. and Cecil Brock, Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell (Dog) and Joann Brock, Kettle Island, Donald C. and Rose Brock, Kettle Island, Stephen and Alicia Brock, Flatlick; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cody and Harry Bruner, Monnie Stallworth; grandchildren, Denise and Pete Ray, Shonna and Phill Self, Brian (BJ) and Karen Brock, Stephanie and Curtis Eldridge, Hollie and Mark Batimore, Tiffany Mayo, Darrell Jr. and Beth Brock, Craig and Belinda Brock; a host of great-grandchildren; and special friend, Ted Wilder Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at the Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Messer and the Rev. Jackie Smith officiating. Music will be by Faye Messer, Stephanie Eldridge, and Mickey Wilder. Interment will follow in the Dewey Brock Cemetery at Kettle Island. Pallbearers will be men of the Mill Creek Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Jerry Woolum, Dr. Talmadge V. Hays, Dr. Shawn Fugate, Rev, Jackie Smith, Harry Bruner, Jesse Bryant, care givers Loretta Caldwell, Wanda Shultz, and Patricia Ball. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Mill Creek Baptist Church. Eastern Star chapter #89 will be conduct Eastern Star rites at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mill Creek Baptist Church. Creech Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, is in charge of arrangements.
