Born on March 7, 1935 in Pineville, KY, he was the son of the late Victor and Mary Brock. He was a member of Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, was a United States Army Veteran and he was co-owner of J & B Spouting in Pineville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Brock, Vernon Brock, Junior Brock, and Lindsey Brock, sisters, Nella Mae Green and Margie Jackson. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Opal Brock, children and their spouses, Sheila and Lloyd Hurley of Lexington, Donny and Betty Brock of Laurel Hill, Dean and Angie Brock of Laurel Hill, Kathy and Wayne Hampton of Laurel Hill, Doug and Patsy Brock of Versailles and Melissa and Tony Hunley of Lexington, sisters, Betty Jackson and Myrtle Nuss, grandchildren, Tiffany and Adam Saylor, Trina Brock, Carrie and Scott North, Amanda Brock, Samantha and Dustin Adams, Tabatha Abner, Josh and Shannon Brock, Mindy and Jason Lake, Miranda Brock, Brittany Brock, Chris Hurley, Jon Hurley, Caleb Hunley, Jacob Hunley, Canaan Hunley, great-grandchildren, Tyler and Mackenzie Abner, Cameron North, Jenna Saylor, Gabe Adams and Paisleigh Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services were at 1:00pm Friday at the Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Robbins, Elder Randall Miracle and John Wiley Robbins(LIC). Burial followed in the Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Josh Brock, Chris Hurley, Jon Hurley, Scott North, Dustin Adams, Adam Saylor, Jason Lake and Brian Harrell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Caleb Hunley, Jacob Hunley, Tyler Abner and Canaan Hunley. The family received friends on Thursday after 5 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville and after 10 AM Friday at the Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
