Herbert William Brown, age 73 years, died suddenly Thursday afternoon at his 
home on Route 4, Hodgenville 
He was a veteran of World War I, and was a retired farmer. 
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Mae Mills Brown; 4 daughters, Mrs. 
Louise Cooper, Mrs. Laura Veirs, Mrs. Juanita McCoy, all of Route 4; and Mrs. 
Neva Wilkerson, of Route 1; 2 sons, Robert W. Brown, Route 3; and Marvin 
Brown, Route 4; 49 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. 
Florence Williams, Miss Pearl Brown, both of Route 4; Mrs. Ayra Evans, Mt. 
Sherman; and Mrs. Stella Williams, of Frankfort; 2 brothers, Claude Brown, 
Route 4 and Hallie Brown, Route 3. 
The body was at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home until funeral services at 2:00 
p.m. Sunday at Friendship No.2 Baptist Church, with burial in the church 
cemetery.
