Brown, died of typhoid fever last Friday, the Shirley House, after a lingering illness, in the 23rd year of her age. Tho a comparative stranger here, she received from many of the ladies of Glasgow every attention which, sympathetic hearts could suggest. She was young and lovely, and is described by those who knew her as being a woman of Christian piety, whose life was full of deeds of benevolence and charity. "A beautiful and impressive sermon was preached by Rev. N. G. Terry at the Baptist church, Saturday evening, afdter which the remains were interred at the burying ground at Mrs. Z. R. Huggins. "Though death came when she was farm from the home of her birth and when none of the friends of her youth were near except the husband and mother, yet gentle hands were found to perform the last sad offices for the dead, and gentle hearts to mourn her early loss."
