Headley BROWNING, sr., 80, farmer whose home was near Providence, died Monday morning in an Evansville hospital. Mr. Browning was born and reared in this section. He was a son of the late Rice and Susan PALMER Browning. At one time he served as county judge of Webster county. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist church. Survivors are the wife, Orbie SIGLER Browning, to whom he was married in 1900; three sons, Kenneth, of Lisman, Prentice, of Providence, and Headley Browning, jr., Detroit Mich.; twelve grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Rose BARNHART, Providence. A daughter, Levi Sue, died several years ago. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Providence Primitive Baptist church, with Elder J.D. SHAIN, of Madisonville, and Elder Gordon HEARON, of Clay, officiating. Burial was in Big Hill cemetery. Contributed by: Carole Palmer
