From: KyArchives [Archives@genrecords.org] Sent: Thursday, October 28, 2004 9:44 PM To: Ky-Footsteps Subject: Bryan-to-McGinnis.1819.Mercer-Lincoln.DEED William McGinnis - William Bryan January 1 1819 Mercer-Lincoln County KyArchives Deed Written: January 1 1819 Recorded: August 2 1819 Deed Book 11, page 267 This Indenture made this 1st day of January 1819 between William Bryan of Lincoln County and State of Kentucky of the one part and William McGinnis of Mercer County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Bryan for and in consideration of the sum of twelve hundred and twenty two Dollars and fifty Cents to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge have granted bargained & Sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, Sell, alien and confirm unto the said William McGinnis and his Heirs forever, one certain Tract or parcel of Land, Containing one hundred Acres situate lying and being in Mercer County on Quirks run, and bounded as follows (To wit) Beginning at three sugar trees corner to Jeremiah Laws, thence N88E 138 poles to a stone corner to John Richardson, thence N2W 116 poles to a stone corner to Jesse McGinnis thence N88W 138 poles to a Stone Corner to Jesse McGinnis, thence S2 W 183 poles ["W 183 poles" crossed out] E 116 poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the only proper use and behoof of him the said William McGinnis and his Heirs forever. And the said William Bryan for himself his Heirs, Executors Administrators and Assigns, the said Land premises unto the said William Mcginnis and his Heirs shall and will forever warrant and defend against the Claim or Claims of all & every other person or persons whatsoever In testimony whereof the said William Bryan has hereunto Set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year above written.
