The Hannibal Journal, 30 December 1847
Judge Richard A. Buckner died at Greensburgh, Ky., on the 8th inst.  Judge Buckner has occupied many posts of distinction, and for many years possessed the confidence of the people of Kentucky.  Few men can boast a more useful or unblemished life; and there are but few whose death could produce such wide spread regret.
