REV. HERSHEL BUMPUS
    
The Rev. Hershel Bumpus, 81, died at 3pm Wednesday, July 22, at his
home in Dixon.
    
He was a General Baptist Minister for 40 years and a US Army Veteran.
He was also a Kentucky Colonel, a former Mason and a member of the Order of
the Eastern Star.
    
Survivors include one daughter, April Gregrory of Ponte Vedra, FL; one
son, Alan Bumpus of Corydon; one brother, Joe Bumpus of Sturgis; two
grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
    
Services were held Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. Burial was in
the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
