She was the wife of the late Henry BURDEN, and had lived in Cloverport for the past 46 years. Mrs. BURDEN was born Febuary 19, 1882 near Tar Fork in Breckinridge County, the daughter of John B. & Ellen KEENAN BATES. She was a member of the Tar Fork Christian Church for 60 years. She is survived by: two sons: James O. BURDEN of Cloverport, Ky Harold BURDEN of Lewisport, Ky (Hancock County) one grandson: Stephen BURDEN of Lewisport, Ky two granddaughters: Mrs. William B. WRIGHT of Montgomery, Alabama (Montgomery County) Mrs. Mat STINNETT of San Diego, California (San Diego County) two great grandchildren: Cindy WRIGHT Mrs. Max Todd STINNETT two brothers: Owen BATES of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County) B. F. BATES of Louisville, Ky two sisters: Mrs. Harry JOLLY of McQuady, Ky (Breckinridge County) Mrs. Arthur DeJARNETTE of McQuady, Ky Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 12, 1961 from the Dhonau Funeral Home of Cloverport, Ky, and the burial was in the Cloverport Cemetery.
