Deed Book C, p 31-33 REED; BURKHART; NURCES; VANCE; HELM This Indenture made this thirteenth day of November one thousand Eight hundred and one between Andrew REED and Betsey his wife of Hardin County and State of Kentucky of the one part and George BURKHART of the aforesaid County and state of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Andrew REED and Betsey his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given granted bargained and sold by these presents do give grant bargain and sell unto the said George BURKHART a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres situate lying and being in the County of Hardin on the big south fork of NOLIN creek it being a part of Joseph NURCES four hundred acre survey and Pattented in Joseph NURCES name and bearing date ____ left blank____ and bounded as follows to with Begining at the begining corner of said four hundred acre survey at two hickorys and a white oak and runing from thence North twenty Eight degrees west one hundred and twenty four poles to a stake thence South twenty five West two hundred poled (passing a white oak Marked K standing on the north bank of the fork to a stake in the line of said four hundred acres thence with said line south sixty five east one hundred poles to a stake corner to said four hundred acres and from thence North twenty five East one hundred and twenty five poles to the Begining to have and to hold the said tract of land its appurtinances unto the said George BURKHART &c and the said Andrew REED and Betsey his wife their Heirs Executors Administrators and to the proper use and behoof and benefit of the said George BURKHART __ and the said Andrew REED and Betsey his wife their Heirs Executors Administrators &c Doth further covenant and agree with the said George BURKHART his heirs to the said hundred acres land with all and singular the appurtinances thereunto belonging from from themselves their heirs Executors Aministrators &c and from the claim or claims of all and every person whatever and will warrant and defend the same from the claim or claims of any person or persons as aforesaid forever Andrew REED [seal] Signed Sealed and delivered Betsey [X] REED [seal] In presence of us Test David VANCE George [X] BURKHART Hardin County Sct 19th February 1805 This day the within named Andrew REED came in his proper person before me Benjamin HELM of the County Court of the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within Indenture of bargain and sale as and for his act and deed and at the request of George BURKHART the grantee herein I have truly recorded the same in my office Ben HELM Transcribed by Patricia O'Connor p-oconnor@att.net Submitted by: Patricia O'Connor p-oconnor@att.net Additional Comments: Joseph "NURCE" should be Joseph NOURSE This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/kyfiles/
